Terms, in plain English

1. Who you're dealing with

This site and the life consulting sessions are offered by Justin Alexander Koontz, who goes by Alexander Koontz, doing business as KOONTZ, in Chesapeake, Virginia. When Koontz Consulting LLC is formed, paid sessions will be provided by it and this page will say so. Business-systems projects on the consulting page are covered by their own written scope and agreement, not these terms.

2. What life consulting is, and isn't

Life consulting is coaching and education. It is not therapy, counseling, medical or mental-health care, and it is not legal, tax, financial, investment or credit-repair advice. Alexander is not a licensed therapist, attorney, CPA, financial adviser or credit counselor. You make your own decisions and are responsible for them. No results are promised.

Money topics stay basic and educational, like a bills calendar or a weekly budget habit. Alexander does not offer credit repair, debt settlement, investment or trading recommendations, or tax preparation, and does not contact creditors or credit bureaus for anyone. Car topics are general education; they are not a mechanical inspection or diagnosis of your vehicle.

If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911. Sessions are not an emergency service, and email isn't watched around the clock.

3. Booking and payment

  • You book by email. A session is confirmed when you've received a confirmation and paid the invoice.
  • Prices are the ones on the site when you book. Pilot or discounted sessions are described in writing before you book.
  • Payment is in US dollars, through the invoice or payment link provided.

4. Rescheduling, cancelling and refunds

  • Reset Call: reschedule free with at least 24 hours' notice. A no-show or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice isn't refunded. If Alexander cancels, you get a full refund or a new time, your choice.
  • 30-Day Build Plan: cancel within 7 days of the kickoff call and get a refund of the price minus $97 (the kickoff counts as a Reset Call). After 7 days, unused check-ins aren't refunded, but they can be moved within 60 days.
  • Anything that comes up that isn't covered here, email us and we'll work it out fairly.

5. Your part

  • Be honest about your situation, and tell Alexander if something should be handled by a doctor, therapist, attorney or other licensed professional.
  • Be respectful. Alexander can end a session or the engagement, with a prorated refund, if a session becomes abusive or asks for something outside these terms.
  • Calls aren't recorded unless both of you agree first.

6. Testimonials

You're never required to give a review. If you choose to, it's only published with your written OK, it can be good or bad, and any free or discounted session is disclosed next to it.

7. Site content

The text, design, the KOONTZ name and the K8NTZ mark on this site belong to KOONTZ. You're welcome to share links. Please don't copy whole pages or present them as your own. Plans written for you in a session are yours to use for yourself.

Everything on this site is general information. It's offered as is, and it may not fit your situation.

8. Limits

To the extent the law allows, Alexander isn't liable for decisions you make or their results, or for indirect losses. If something goes wrong with a paid session, the most Alexander owes you is what you paid for that session or plan. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived by law.

9. Privacy

See the privacy page. Short version: no cookies, no trackers, and session notes stay private.

10. Virginia law, and changes

These terms are governed by Virginia law. If a problem comes up, email first; we'll try to fix it directly. Changes to these terms update the date at the top, and don't change a session you've already paid for.
